Abstract: Some years back the Ontario Ministry of Consumer and Commercial Relations (MCCR), which is responsible for Ontario’s 200-year-old land registry System, announced plans to automate the land registration process: a forward-looking administrative decision, but bad news for those who use Ontario’s land registry records for historical research.
