Title: Social capital: its limits in social reproduction. A case study in persistent poor contexts. This article looks forward to reflecting on the relevance of the category of social capital, understood from diverse theoretical perspectives like an outstanding resource in the overcoming of historical or structural situations of poverty. This work put this concept into discussion from a case study done in the Metropolitan Area of Mendoza, Argentina, in the first decade of the 21st century after the great crisis of the year 2001.
