Abstract

Over the past two years, the Canadian Historical Association has worked closely with Library and Archives Canada (LAC) in support of its efforts to resolve the large backlog of requests made under Access to Information and Privacy legislation(ATIP). The backlog posed a serious problem for many historians contributing to long delays in thesis completion times for many graduate students as researchers waited eighteen to twenty-four months for documents.
