Abstract

After another successful annual conference, it’s time to publish the summer issue of the Bulletin, and we find that an issue once envisioned as being “the light one” has evolved into “the big one.” As you rest at the cottage, or take a break from the pressures of researching and writing, we hope that you enjoy the range of reading material that we have collected this time around, and appreciate that the addition of advertising is providing substantial financial support for this publication.

Et bienvenue Mary Lynn Stewart, qui entreprend son mandat à la présidence! Mary Lynn laissera certainement son empreinte sur la Société elle aussi. Spécialiste de l’histoire française, notre nouvelle présidente démontre un intérêt particulier pour ce que l’on qualifie un peu maladroitement d’histoire « internationale », ou non-canadian en anglais. Ces deux termes ne paraissent toutefois pas les plus adéquats pour définir les historiens canadiens qui s’intéressent à d’autres parties du monde.
