Conférence Berkshire / Conference 2014

Abstract

For the first time in its long history, the Berkshire Conference on Women and History will come to Canada, specifically Toronto, in 2014. As the first non-US citizen elected president of the Berkshire Conference of Women Historians, the parent organization that sponsors the international tri-annual conference known as the Big Berks, I will host the Sixteenth Big Berks at University of Toronto likely in late May of 2014 (the date, May 22-25, which is not the Victoria Day holiday week-end that year, needs to be confirmed).

Pour la première fois de sa longue histoire, la Conférence Berkshire sur les femmes et l’histoire se tiendra en 2014 au Canada, plus précisément à Toronto. À titre de première citoyenne non-américaine élue à la présidence de la Berkshire Conference of Women Historians, l’organisation mère qui parraine la conférence internationale tri-annuelle, mieux connue sous le nom de Big Berks, je vais accueillir la seizième Big Berks à l’Université de Toronto probablement à la fin mai 2014(la date, du 22 au 25 mai, qui ne coïncide pas avec le long congé de la Fête de la Reine en 2014, reste à confirmer).
