CHA Annual Meeting / Réunion annuelle de la SHC

Abstract

Wilkommen, bienvenue, and welcome to Waterloo for the 91st annual meeting of the Canadian Historical Association. Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Waterloo are jointly hosting the Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences and the CHA as we examine the many implications of the Congress theme: “Crossroads: Scholarship in an Uncertain World.” This year’s theme acknowledges the uncertainties of our present age and the rapid transformations that are challenging our society, our environment, and our understanding of humanity. It will provide an ideal forum for critical dialogue and debate about the role of history in our changing world.

Wilkommen, welcome, et bienvenue à Waterloo pour la 91ème réunion annuelle de la Société historique du Canada. L’Université Wilfrid Laurier et l’Université de Waterloo organisent conjointement le Congrès des sciences humaines et la Réunion annuelle de la SHC sous le thème suivant: « À la croisée des chemins : Le savoir face à un monde incertain ». Le thème de cette année répond aux incertitudes actuelles et les transformations rapides qui troublent notre société, notre environnement et notre compréhension de l’humanité. Le congrès offrira un forum idéal pour un dialogue critique et un débat sur le rôle de l’histoire dans notre monde en mutation.
