Abstract

The new Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act replaces the existing Canada Corporations Act (CCA), which has not been substantially updated since 1917. The Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (CNCA) provides federal not-for-profit corporations with a new set of rules that are modern, flexible and better suited to the needs of today’s not-for-profit sector. /

La nouvelle Loi canadienne sur les organisations à but non lucratif remplace la Loi sur les corporations canadiennes (LCC) qui n’a pas été amendée en profondeur depuis 1917. La Loi canadienne sur les organisations à but non lucratif (LBNL) offre aux organisations à but non lucratif de régime fédéral un nouvel ensemble de règles modernes, souples et qui répondent mieux aux besoins du secteur à but non lucratif actuel.
